The Intellectual Property Office administers all registration services available under the intellectual property laws enacted in the Bailiwick.  It also provides public service information about intellectual property and relevant processes and procedures.

Guernsey has reformed its intellectual property laws and produced a set of legislation that establishes the Island as a leading offshore jurisdiction for the development and exploitation of intellectual property rights. The legislation has been introduced after a comprehensive review if other jurisdictions. While being comparable to UK and EU provisions, some rights have been designed to overcome shortcomings of those regimes and others have been drafted to offer enhanced commercial opportunities. Put simply, Guernsey has sought to develop the best of all worlds.
