Tourism stills plays a substantial part in Guernsey's economy.  In 2007,  194,000 visitors came to the Island and the money that they spend in the Bailiwick makes a considerable contribution to our income as a community.

Tourism also supports different areas of the Island's economy such as air routes, which would be fewer and leses frequent if leisure visitors didn't use them.

The Marketing and Tourism Unit promotes Guernsey as a holiday destination and as a desirable place to live for potential wealth creators, by designing and producing a wide range of promotional material and liaising with U.K. and European media.  The team also have a Quality Assurance function that ensures all visitor accommmodation is inspected regularly so that the standards remain high.
