Quality Development
Key Objective – To build confidence in our visitor economy through a high quality visitor experience.
Overview – Quality Development works in partnership with the industry to foster a culture of best practice and quality assurance. The section also provides a communication interface between the Department, the States of Guernsey, visitor economy business stakeholders, external tourism quality organisations such as VisitBritain, and our visitors.
What do we do? – monitor quality standards and customer service across the industry, to identify and implement opportunities for improvement and ensure Guernsey continues to meet or exceed current and future visitor expectations.
How do we do it?
Through a blend of statutory regulation and voluntary quality assurance programmes providing objective and sustainable accreditations to inform visitor decisions.
