Individual subscribers can register their objection to receiving unsolicited marketing calls by registering their telephone number with the Telephone Preference Service

Corporate subscribers may also register individual telephone numbers on the Corporate TPS using the above numbers and web site.
Individual and corporate subscribers can register their objection to receiving unsolicited direct marketing faxes by registering their fax number with the Fax Preference Service

If you wish to make a complaint about unsolicited communications originating in or controlled from, the UK, you may do so to the UK Information Commissioner:
The following forms are available:
- complaints about telesales
- complaints about faxes
- complaints about automated calls
- complaints about emails or sms messages.
The rules on e-mail marketing came into force in the UK on 11 December 2003 and so do not apply to any e-mails received prior to that date.
